The Girl Child Needs to Know How to Take Care of Herself

Especially During Her Menstrual Cycle

It’s heartbreaking to see that many young girls spend the bulk of their teenage lives leaving their menstrual hygiene to chance.

No care, no help, no sanitary products when they need it the most.

It’s more disheartening to know that about 70% of adolescent girls didn’t even know what it was when they saw blood on their panties for the first time.

Imagine the shock, the fear, and the anxiety that must have come with all the terrific stories and myths they have heard concerning their menstruation.

Till date, some teenage girls still struggle with low self-esteem because of these wrong beliefs.

So many of them already have infections they cannot afford to treat, putting their lives at risk of reproductive diseases and possible death.

If they cannot afford to get sanitary pads, how will they afford to treat infections?

This is what we do

At Love and Family Foundation, We tackle this grassroots problem with our Menstrual Hygiene Education Program. This program is held in schools and education centers in low-income communities.

Our goal is to help young girls understand menstrual hygiene and also provide sanitary products that they cannot afford to buy.

She Would Live Longer If She Knows how much danger she puts herself in when she doesn't use a pad

Poor Menstrual Hygiene has caused

23 million Girls to Drop out of School

Reproductive and Urinary Tract Infection in 1000's of Women

Deaths of 800,000 women around the world in one year

A lot of young girls may never grow old enough to fulfill purpose or contribute positively to society because of the health risk associated with poor menstrual hygiene if we don’t step in and help!

Lately, we have been having an overwhelming demand for Menstrual Hygiene Education and sanitary products by schools that keep reaching out to us to help young girls.

The demand outweighs what we can afford on our own.

This is why we need your help.

With your donation, we can go to more schools, provide more sanitary pads and help more young girls live healthier lives.

Soon, we hope to be able to make reusable sanitary pads available.

We need all the help we can get right now, this is why we are asking today that you be a HERO to these girls.

There is no restriction to how much you can donate and the donation process is super easy and swift. It wouldn’t take much of your time and it’s tax-deductible.
